This is one of my favorite songs ever. I admit it’s an odd one. Joe Henry is a great songwriter and performer and a great producer as well. I was on my other ‘normal’ Twitter account and unbelievably chatting with Rosanne Cash. She mentioned this song to me as one I might like because it has one of the great opening lines of all time and she was aware I was a Giants fan:

I love the scene Joe sets. Just to give some context, the song came out in 2007 near the end of worst presidential term in our history.
